Plant & equipment.
Shown, not claimed — real capability from MSR's two Bootle factories, photographed on the shop floor and on site.
Plate rolling & forming
Flat plate rolled into full cylinders, part-cylinders and shells on our slab rolls — three-roll pyramid and cone rolling for reducers, transition pieces and shaft or tunnel lining segments rolled to a fixed radius. Single prototypes through to batch runs, mild steel or stainless.
Plate rolling & forming →
CNC profile cutting
Plasma profile cutting of mild steel, stainless and aluminium, programmed directly from your DXF or DWG file — thin gauge sheet through to heavy structural plate, weld-prep bevels cut into the edge, holes drilled and tapped as part of the program.
CNC profile cutting & welding →
Welding & assembly
MIG and TIG welding of cut profiles into finished brackets, gussets, base plates and fabricated assemblies, and full penetration or fillet welded connections on primary structural and propping members — shop-welded at Bootle to the tolerances rail and tunnelling work demands.
Structural steelwork →
Beam & frame fabrication
Universal beams, columns, purlins and rolled hollow sections cut, drilled and welded to fabrication drawings — bolted and welded steel frames trial-assembled in the yard before they leave, so nothing gets discovered wrong on site.
Structural steelwork →
Crane-assisted site installation
Steelwork delivered and craned into position in erection sequence — including overnight rail possessions, where a footbridge span has to go up, be checked and be handed back before the first service the next morning.
Site services & steel erection →Two factories, 22,000 sq ft between them, both in Bootle — see the full range in the gallery or across all eight services.
